Community Addiction Services of Niagara (CASON) seeks an entry-level Day Treatment Counsellor for its Day Treatment program. The position facilitates curriculum, process groups, and counselling for clients addressing substance abuse, gambling, and related problems. The contract ends March 31, 2027, with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities: Facilitate structured content and process groups
Conduct individual counselling sessions for client needs
Develop recovery modules supporting treatment goals
Maintain accurate clinical records and client files
Collaborate with Day Treatment team members
Requirements: Relevant degree plus two years addiction counselling experience
Registration or pending registration with a regulatory college
Experience in trauma informed care settings
Current criminal record check and valid driver’s license
Experience using CRMS database
Bring addiction counselling, group facilitation, and clinical documentation skills to CASON’s Day Treatment program in St. Catharines.
