Teach Anishinaabemowin at St. David with Primary and Junior qualifications while supporting faith-based education in Sudbury Catholic Schools. This permanent 1.0 FTE position is located in Northeastern Ontario.
The Indigenous Language Teacher supports students within an inclusive Catholic learning community. The work draws on Anishinaabemowin knowledge, differentiated instruction, and evidence-based assessment. Classroom practice integrates Catholic Education principles, Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations, technology, and current Ministry initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Teach Indigenous language within Primary and Junior Divisions
Apply differentiated instructional approaches to engage students
Use diagnostic assessments to inform teaching and learning




Implement effective classroom management strategies
Support literacy and numeracy initiatives
Requirements: Current valuable standing with Ontario College of Teachers
Qualifications in Primary and Junior Divisions
Demonstrated knowledge of Anishinaabemowin during interviews
Excellent written and oral English communication skills
Working knowledge of IPRC and IEP processes
Bring Anishinaabemowin knowledge, inclusive teaching, assessment expertise, and Catholic education practice to St. David students.
