Perform adult, pediatric, and infant phlebotomy at Sturgeon Community Hospital while delivering patient-centered laboratory support during night shifts.
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I with the City of St. Albert, you will support clinical laboratory clients. Your work includes specimen handling, processing, dispatching, testing, procedures, and reporting results. You will also complete reception duties and troubleshoot problem specimens.
Key Responsibilities: Perform adult, pediatric, and infant phlebotomy
Use macro and micro collection techniques
Perform urinalysis and enter specimens
Process and transport laboratory specimens
Provide reception and patient-centered laboratory support
Requirements: Complete an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent
Demonstrate phlebotomy experience within the past twelve months
Recent EPIC Beaker experience is strongly preferred
Recent urinalysis and Beckman DxU IRIS experience preferred
Satisfactory criminal record check or Vulnerable Sector Search required
Apply laboratory expertise in phlebotomy, urinalysis, specimen processing, and patient-centered service at Sturgeon Community Hospital.
