The Handicapped Student Attendant assists students with school-related activities under the supervision of the school principal. The 10-hour weekly schedule runs from 12:40 p.m. to 2:40 p.m. Duties include personal hygiene, supervision, communication, and recording observations.
Key Responsibilities: Assist students moving between locations and transportation
Ensure students' personal hygiene
Supervise recess, lunch, meals, and recreation
Assist teachers with cleanliness and personal care concepts
Record student needs and behavioural observations
Requirements: Vocational or secondary school diploma, or recognized equivalent
One year of pertinent experience in relevant areas
Self-discipline, psychology concepts, and human relations skills
Current first aid and refresher course certificates
Fluent written and spoken French and English
Bring mobility assistance, personal care, supervision, and bilingual communication skills to Kindergarten students at Knowlton Academy.
