Registered Practical Nurse needed for Integrated Stroke Unit/Telemetry in Stratford, Ontario, with cardiac monitoring and physical assessment skills. This temporary part time position includes 12-hour day and night shifts.
Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance seeks a Registered Practical Nurse for Stratford General Hospital’s Integrated Stroke Unit/Telemetry department. The position requires planning, organization, problem solving, communication, and independent teamwork. Candidates should interpret telemetry and cardiac monitoring, while recent Cardiac Care or Acute Stroke Nursing experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities: Provide nursing care in Integrated Stroke Unit/Telemetry
Plan, organize, and problem solve during clinical practice
Perform excellent physical assessments




Interpret typical and atypical telemetry when required
Work independently and collaboratively as a team member
Requirements: Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration in good standing
Current Basic Life Support certification
Recent Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course or equivalent experience
Recent 12 lead ECG interpretation course or equivalent experience
Minimum two years recent Cardiac Care or Acute Stroke Nursing preferred
Bring cardiac monitoring, ECG interpretation, and stroke nursing experience to HPHA’s Integrated Stroke Unit/Telemetry team in Stratford.
