AGD/Powell Group of Companies is currently seeking a Snow Clearing & Salting Operator on a part-time/on-call basis for the Bay Roberts area for the 2026–2027 winter season.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the secure operation of the company dump truck (plow/salt spreader) to ensure our designated commercial property and parking lots are kept clear of snow and ice.

Job Responsibilities:

- Clear snow and salt designated parking lots, entrances and walkways using the company dump truck
- Pile snow into designated/approved areas (direction will be provided)
- Monitor weather forecasts and respond promptly to snowfall and icy conditions, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any equipment issues or damage




- Operate snow clearing/salting equipment in a safe, responsible and efficient manner
- Adhere to OH&S; standards
- Other related duties as required

Requirements:

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record (driver’s abstract may be requested)
- Class 3 license and/or air brake endorsement considered an asset
- Previous snow clearing, salting or dump truck experience considered a strong asset
- Ability to be on-call 24/7 during the winter months
- Dependable, motivated and able to work independently

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
