The Operations Coordinator, Aquatics supports the Aquatics Manager with daily facility delivery and high-quality participant experiences. Responsibilities include scheduling, safety compliance, team development, swim program evaluation, and YMCA standards. The position requires aquatics leadership experience and current certifications.
Key Responsibilities: Recruit, train, coach, supervise, and manage aquatics staff
Evaluate swim programs and implement quality improvement plans
Mentor aquatic staff on safety and program standards
Conduct facility audits, checklists,



and health safety checks
Enforce pool rules and respond to emergencies when needed
Requirements: Minimum two years’ aquatics leadership experience
Intermediate First Aid and CPR-C certification
National Lifeguard Pool certification
YMCA Swim Instructor or Lifesaving Instructor certification
Flexible availability and ability to obtain vulnerable sector screening
Support YMCA aquatics operations through leadership, staff coaching, safety compliance, and high-quality programming in Edmonton.
