Operate Valley Line LRT vehicles in Edmonton, applying operating rules and sound judgment. Support protected, reliable service for Millwoods and downtown commuters.
As an LRV Operator with TransEd Valley Line LRT, you will operate revenue and non-revenue services. The work includes testing, commissioning, customer assistance, service recovery, and communication with the Operation Control Center. You will also inspect mainline conditions and respond to vehicle failures.
Key Responsibilities: Operate LRV service according to rules and procedures
Make public address announcements during assigned duties
Support technicians, engineers, and the Operation Control Center
Conduct recovery procedures for minor vehicle failures
Report delays, incidents, and operating schedule deviations
Requirements: Grade 12 diploma or GED completion
Effective English communication and instruction-following ability
Valid Alberta Class 5 or higher driver's licence
Basic computer and hand or power tool skills
Ability to respond calmly during emergencies
