Protect swimmers and teach aquatic programs as a full-time Lifeguard and Swim Instructor with the Town of Ajax. Apply safety leadership, First Aid, and lesson planning skills.
Reporting to the Aquatics Supervisor, you will supervise swimming activities at Town of Ajax aquatic facilities. You will instruct learn to swim and leadership classes for participants of all ages and abilities. The position also supports volunteers, public feedback, pool operations, and program standards.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor aquatic facility safety and report emerging concerns
Enforce pool rules and educate the public on aquatic safety
Respond to emergencies and administer coordinated First Aid
Prepare weekly lesson outlines for swimming programs
Assist with pool setup,



closing, and recreational supervision
Requirements: Grade 12 High School Diploma
Minimum two years’ Lifeguard and Swim Instructor experience
Current Standard or Intermediate First Aid and CPR C
Current LSS National Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, and Lifesaving Instructor awards
Robust planning, communication, organization, and customer service skills
Bring aquatic safety, instruction, emergency response, and planning expertise to swimming programs across Town of Ajax indoor pools.
