Maintain clean, secure facilities as a Temporary School Custodian, using cleaning equipment, floor-care techniques, and problem-solving skills. This is a twelve-month position.
The Building Service Worker performs custodial duties under the Director of Operations or designate. Responsibilities include facility and grounds care, cleaning, maintenance, routine repairs, inventory management, and daily checklists. The position requires independent and collegial work, effective communication, confidentiality, and physical ability.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain safe, secure, and sanitary facilities and grounds
Clean, maintain, and restore floors through stripping and waxing
Track cleaning supplies and equipment inventory, ordering as needed
Operate, care for, and maintain related equipment




Report maintenance concerns and complete daily duty checklists
Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent, or willingness to obtain
Cleaning experience or formal related-field training considered an asset
Driver's licence and computer skills considered assets
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and in disagreeable conditions
Apply custodial, equipment-operation, and facility-maintenance skills while supporting protected, sanitary school environments throughout this temporary assignment.
