Working with the Collections team, you will support donor mobiles in BC-Nanaimo. You will perform venipuncture, conduct confidential screening, and provide safe, quality service. Attention to detail supports accurate product information, labelling, and preparation.
Key Responsibilities: Register donors and conduct confidential eligibility screening
Perform venipuncture according to established standards
Monitor donor safety, comfort, and post-donation care
Process, label, and prepare blood products accurately
Set up equipment for mobile community events
Requirements: High school diploma; post-secondary education is an asset
Accredited phlebotomy training or one-year related experience
At least three years working with the public
Knowledge of current Positive Manufacturing Practices
Basic computer skills and flexibility for assigned shifts
Bring phlebotomy, communication, and donor-care skills to Canadian Blood Services blood collection events in Nanaimo and surrounding communities.
