The primary responsibilities of a Custodian include: Perform established cleaning functions within assigned areas
Service, clean, and supply restrooms
Move furniture, equipment, and supplies
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
Gather and empty waste and recycling containers
Comply with Health and Safety under the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Comply with safe handling of cleaning chemicals (W.H.M.I.S)
We seek candidates with the following credentials:



Previous experience working in a school or institutional setting is preferred
Previous experience operating cleaning equipment and familiarity with cleaning tools and supplies
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and reliably complete tasks independently
Position requires considerable walking and heavy lifting, requiring knowledge of proper lifting techniques and safety precautions
A current and clear Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
Candidates must be able to work the occasional weekend and overtime as needed.
Compensation: The hourly wage for this position is $22.66/hour
