Nasittuq is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to join their team supporting the North Warning System in Sanirajak, Nunavut. This is a unique opportunity to work in remote Arctic locations on a rotational schedule, operating and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment. The ideal candidates are experienced operators with strong safety awareness, adaptability to challenging environments, and a commitment to supporting critical infrastructure in Canada’s North.

Fly-In/Fly-Out rotation: 6 weeks on, 6 weeks off, with company-paid travel

What You’ll Need

Licensed Heavy Equipment Operator with Air Brake Endorsement (DZ Licence),



or valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Air Brake Certification

Completion of Safe Backing training or ability to obtain certification

Valid driver’s licence with satisfactory driving record

Experience operating heavy equipment in construction, road maintenance, mining, industrial, municipal, airport, or remote-site environments

Experience with loaders, graders, dozers, dump trucks, forklifts, snow removal equipment, and similar machinery

Experience with snow clearing and winter road maintenance

Experience towing trailers and operating vehicles with attached equipment

Ability to work in remote, industrial, or Arctic environments

Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation, workplace safety, and inspection procedures

Ability to perform physically demanding work in remote Arctic environments while wearing PPE

Ability to travel to adjacent sites and support operations across multiple locations

Employment conditional upon obtaining and maintaining Enhanced Reliability or Secret Level Security Clearance
