Support children’s safety and learning as an Early Childhood Educator in Atikokan, Ontario, working full time on an 18-month interim contract.
The District of Rainy River Services Board seeks an Early Childhood Educator for an existing vacancy. Qualified educators and career starters may apply. You will support play-based programming, child development, respectful communication, and daily indoor and outdoor exploration.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise children continuously and protect their safety and well-being
Participate in daily programming supporting learning, development, and well-being
Facilitate child-initiated, teacher-supported play-based learning
Communicate respectfully with children, families, and colleagues
Maintain environments, equipment, toys, and storage areas
Requirements: Two-year Early Childhood Education diploma or approved equivalency
Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators
Current first aid including infant and child CPR
Ontario Food Handler Certification or ability to complete it
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Bring supervision, play-based learning, and family communication skills to the District of Rainy River Services Board in Atikokan.
