Support oncology patients at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre through daily care, patient safety, and collaborative work on a part time basis.
UHN seeks a Personal Support Worker for the Solid Tumour department’s medical radiation inpatient oncology team. The casual position reports to a Nurse Manager and supports quality patient outcomes and exceptional patient experiences. Work includes activities of daily living, delegated tasks, care-plan communication, and patient documentation.
Key Responsibilities: Assist patients with feeding, transfers, bathing, and toileting
Perform trained tasks delegated by registered nursing staff
Communicate information according to established Plans of Care
Report patient changes and unsafe conditions promptly
Complete patient records and progress notes
Requirements: Successful completion of an accredited PSW program
Current HSCPOA registration
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate
Ability to manage regular physical exertion
Good attendance record required
Bring personal support, safety reporting, and documentation skills to UHN’s inpatient medical radiation oncology care team.
