Perform general ultrasound procedures as a Relief Part Time Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Chilliwack General Hospital in British Columbia. Apply Doppler techniques and patient safety practices.
Reporting to the Supervisor and Site Coordinator, this Diagnostic Medical Sonographer supports General Procedures and Cardiac Sonography within Fraser Health. The work includes abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, peripheral vascular, and small parts examinations. Patient preparation, diagnostic imaging information systems, image processing, and client and family centered care are central to the position.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients, review histories, and complete examination requisitions
Perform ultrasound examinations using ultrasound and Doppler techniques
Check images for technical quality and completeness




Assist radiologists during interventional procedures and support patients
Monitor equipment performance and complete quality control duties
Requirements: Graduate of a recognized Medical Diagnostic Sonography training program
Certification with Sonography Canada or ARDMS
Knowledge of abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, vascular, and small parts sonography
Knowledge of aseptic and protected equipment procedures
CPR, computer, communication, and independent collaboration abilities
Bring diagnostic sonography expertise, Doppler skills, and patient-centered communication to Fraser Health’s Chilliwack General Hospital team.
