The Meat Manager develops employees, supports customer loyalty, and oversees department performance. This role manages labour costs, financial targets, product presentation, ordering, receiving, and regulatory compliance. It also requires customer service, product knowledge, and communication.
Key Responsibilities: Coach, train, and develop department employees
Manage selection, performance, succession, and compensation processes
Order, receive, rotate, and merchandise meat products
Control budgets, labour costs, sales, and margins
Maintain food safety, equipment, and workplace standards
Requirements: Minimum 18 months of retail store experience
Meat experience preferred
High School Diploma
Financial reporting and budget management experience
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency and robust communication skills
