This Registered Practical Nurse provides holistic, culturally appropriate, patient-centred care for stable patients with predictable outcomes. The position requires autonomous nursing practice, therapeutic relationships, care coordination, and consultation with Registered Nurses when patient conditions become unstable. Ongoing learning and reflective practice support nursing excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Provide autonomous care for stable patients with predictable outcomes
Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care
Coordinate patient activities across inter-qualified care teams
Document assessments, observations,
and care provision accurately
Transfer care safely when instability or unpredictability increases
Requirements: Practical Nursing Diploma Program completion
Current General Class registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Current Basic Life Support Certification
One year of recent relevant Operating Room experience
Post Diploma RPN Perioperative Nursing Certificate or two years' Operating Room experience
