As Fashion Buyer at Reitmans (Canada) Limited, you will translate brand direction and emerging trends into commercial product decisions. Reporting to the Director, Merchandising, you will collaborate with Design, Planning & Allocation, Sourcing, Marketing, and Visual Merchandising. The position focuses on relevant assortments, robust margins, inventory productivity, and profitability for the PENN. customer.
Key Responsibilities: Build seasonal assortments reflecting customer needs, brand direction, and trends
Determine quantities, product flow, and inventory needs by channel
Analyze sales, margin, inventory, and product performance
Develop pricing strategies balancing value, competition, and margin
Manage buying calendars and seasonal deliverables
Requirements: Degree in Merchandising Management or Fashion Marketing
At least five years of merchandising or retail buying experience
Fluency in French and English
Proven people management and leadership skills
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
Use fashion judgment, financial analysis, and customer insight to guide PENN. buying decisions across each seasonal assortment.
