Deliver mental health nursing care at Brampton Civic Hospital with William Osler Health System, supporting patients across day and night shifts.
This full time, nine-month temporary contract serves the Mental Health General B department. The Registered Nurse provides patient-focused care within an inter-professional team. Practice follows Osler expectations, College of Nurses standards, and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Provide compassionate, patient-centred nursing care
Apply infection prevention and control measures
Respond to changing health statuses and emergencies
Teach patients and families, including discharge instructions
Requirements: Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
At least three years of recent mental health experience
Crisis experience and crisis intervention knowledge
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
