This regular part-time Registered Nurse position serves the Child/Adolescent Inpatient unit within Mental Health & Addictions. Working with a multidisciplinary team, you will assess physical and mental health, develop treatment plans, and deliver patient-centred interventions. The schedule includes 12, 8, and 4-hour shifts across days, evenings, nights, and weekends, subject to change.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct physical and mental health assessments
Contribute to patient treatment plans
Manage crises and administer medications
Facilitate groups and provide family support
Document care and maintain relevant statistics
Requirements: Ontario registration in positive standing
Current Basic Life Support certification required
Minimum three years mental health experience
Child and adolescent experience preferred
Effective crisis and communication skills
Support children and youth with mental illness through registered nursing, crisis management, medication administration, and evidence-based care.
