The Recreation Aide reports to the Director of Resident Programs within a long term care community. You will create and implement recreational programs, understand residents’ experiences, and foster relationships with residents and families. Your work supports physical, cognitive, and emotional enjoyment while encouraging dignity, purpose, and belonging.
Key Responsibilities: Contribute to developing and refining recreational programs
Prepare daily activities for physical, cognitive, and emotional enjoyment
Assess residents’ interests, needs, and progress with support




Maintain accurate program and participation records
Lead designated activities and special events
Requirements: Post-secondary recreation, leisure, therapeutic recreation, or related education
Equivalent experience working with seniors may be considered
Experience working with seniors and understanding motivation concepts
Understanding of leisure principles
Eligibility to work in Canada and required checks
Bring recreation programming, senior engagement, and relationship-building skills to support residents at Sienna Senior Living.
