Apply housekeeping and infection-control skills as a Custodial Worker at Whitehorse General Hospital in Whitehorse, Yukon. This is an on-site, casual on-call position.
Reporting to the Manager of Environmental Services, you will provide housekeeping services throughout hospital areas and for assigned contracted customers. The work requires sanitation knowledge, biohazardous medical waste disposal knowledge, and janitorial skills. You will follow approved methods, communicate in English, and work with minimal supervision. The position is part time and offers no guaranteed hours.
Key Responsibilities: Provide housekeeping services throughout hospital areas
Service contracted customers as assigned by management
Perform janitorial duties using approved methods
Follow sanitation and safety procedures
Complete other related duties
Requirements: At least three months of housekeeping experience
Knowledge of healthcare infection control practices
Knowledge of biohazardous medical waste disposal
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Obtain WHMIS within the first month
Support safe hospital environments through housekeeping, sanitation, infection control, and dependable custodial service in Whitehorse.
