What You Will Do Prepare financial statements and supporting working paper files
Complete compilation engagements and assist with other engagements as needed
Prepare corporate tax returns associated with financial statement engagements
Maintain accurate and organized client files and documentation
Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve questions
Work collaboratively with partners and other members of the accounting team
Support a variety of clients across different industries
Assist with additional accounting and client-service work as required
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or a related field
3-5 years of experience working in a public accounting firm as an accounting technician or in a similar role
Hands-on experience preparing financial statements and working paper files
Hands-on experience with compilation engagements
Familiarity with ASPE
Experience managing ongoing client communication across multiple files
Hands-on experience preparing corporate tax returns is an asset
Experience with CaseWare, Excel and TaxPrep/iFirm is an asset
