The Machine Operator works across the Grinding Room and Millshop departments. Responsibilities include tooling setup, blade sharpening, moulder operation, measurements, and quality checks. The work supports assembly standards and on-time production for Loewen’s window and door manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities: Sharpen profile, straight, and circular cutter heads
Set up and maintain tooling for plant requirements
Prepare templates, knives, and saw blades
Operate moulders within required measurement tolerances
Keep work areas clean and address emerging problems
Requirements: Communicate effectively in written and spoken English
Focus on quality, precision, and accurate results
Read safety, operating, maintenance, AutoCAD, and moulder documents
Use tape measures and calipers accurately
Lift up to 50 to 75 pounds
Bring tooling, moulder operation, measurement, and quality skills to Loewen’s precision window and door manufacturing teams.
