Support surgical care at Royal Alexandra Hospital through patient transport, operating room cleaning, and sterile supply restocking. Work within DTC Surgical Suite services.
As a Service Worker II, you will support Operating Theatres, pre-operative areas, and Recovery Room operations. Duties include transporting patients, equipment, specimens, blood products, and charts. You will clean and disinfect instruments and specialty equipment, replenish supplies, and assist healthcare staff with protected patient care.
Key Responsibilities: Transport patients before and after surgery
Clean and disinfect operating rooms and equipment
Restock patient care and sterile supplies
Transport specimens, blood products, equipment, and instruments
Prepare sutures, instruments, and surgical equipment
Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent
Current Alberta Heart & Stroke BLS Provider certification
WHMIS training and application knowledge
At least one year operating room experience
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds
Bring operating room cleaning, patient transport, and supply management skills to the DTC Surgical Suite at Royal Alexandra Hospital.
