Job Summary

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Surgical Coordinator to support patients and clinical staff throughout the surgical scheduling process. This role coordinates appointments, prepares records, and helps ensure patients understand the steps leading up to their procedures. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, and comfortable balancing patient service with administrative responsibilities in a busy healthcare setting.

Duties

- Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, consultations, and related appointments.
- Communicate with patients, providers, and clinical staff about scheduling, preparation instructions, and follow-up needs.
- Maintain accurate patient information and documentation in electronic medical records.
- Review records for completeness and route information to the appropriate clinical team.
- Answer and direct calls using multi-line phone systems; assist patients at the front desk as needed.
- Support administrative workflows, including data entry, document handling, and appointment confirmations.




- Protect patient privacy and follow office procedures for handling confidential information.
- Provide courteous, clear service to patients and help address routine questions or direct clinical concerns to qualified staff.

Experience

- Prior experience in a medical office, dental office, or other healthcare setting is preferred.
- Sales experience
- Experience as a dental receptionist or in a front desk or administrative role is an asset.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and systems such as Accuro is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.
- Solid organization, communication, and customer-service skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
- Comfort using computers, maintaining records, and handling multi-line phone systems.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
