Lead fresh food quality assurance at 7-Eleven’s Calgary Food Center using HACCP, SQF, and product evaluation expertise onsite.
This technician leads daily facility-level QA and food safety programs for finished products, ingredients, packaging, equipment, sanitation, and production practices. The position supports compliance with 7-Eleven policies, specifications, customer expectations, GFSI/SQF requirements, HACCP/Preventive Control Plan requirements, and regulations. You will review records, verify controls, investigate issues, and communicate risks.
Key Responsibilities: Lead daily inspections, checks, monitoring, documentation review, and release readiness
Verify product characteristics, labels, allergens, packaging, and specifications
Maintain HACCP, SQF, sanitation, traceability, and recall programs
Investigate deviations,



complaints, non-conformances, and audit findings
Train teams on GMPs, SSOPs, SOPs, and food safety requirements
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or Nutrition
Two years of experience and valid HACCP Certificate
GFSI Scheme Practitioner knowledge and SQF experience
Basic laboratory, physical, sensory, and organoleptic testing experience
Leadership, interpersonal skills, self-direction, and vendor management experience
