Mechanical troubleshooting defines this permanent full-time Millwright position with Carmeuse in Blind River, Ontario. The hourly rate is $47.76.
As a Maintenance Millwright, you will inspect, isolate, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical malfunctions and equipment. The work includes motors, controls, scales, safety devices, and new systems. Carmeuse requires industrial manufacturing maintenance experience, leadership, and computerized maintenance management competency. Mechanical fabrication, preventative maintenance, and Total Productive Maintenance knowledge support the department’s work.
Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, equipment, and components
Test equipment for safety, efficiency, and breakdown causes
Install and repair new equipment and systems




Fabricate mechanical parts and maintain repair records
Follow blueprints, codes, and legislated requirements
Requirements: Department of Labour certificate as a licensed industrial mechanical millwright
Minimum four years or 8,000 hours of millwright maintenance experience
Industrial manufacturing workplace experience
Computerized maintenance management systems competency
Strong leadership, teamwork, maturity, and English fluency
