This Registered Nurse supports patients in Osler’s hemodialysis unit as part of an inter-professional health care team. The position requires current hemodialysis experience, acute care practice, and strong patient and family teaching. Nursing care follows Osler standards, regulatory expectations, and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Provide compassionate care in a diverse cultural environment
Apply infection prevention and control measures
Recognize health changes and respond to emergencies
Deliver teaching and thorough discharge instructions
Requirements: Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration and good standing
Minimum two years acute care experience within five years
Minimum one year current or recent hemodialysis experience
Nephrology certificate or enrollment with completion within eighteen months
Vascular access modules and current BCLS required
Use hemodialysis expertise, clinical judgment, and patient teaching skills to deliver safe care with William Osler Health System.
