The Senior Pharmacy Technician supports technical and operational services within the Pharmacy Department. Responsibilities include medication histories, drug-use monitoring, sterile and non-sterile compounding, prescription transfers, and pharmaceutical product verification. The role also manages billing documentation, inventory reconciliation, patient accounts, and shipping schedules. McKesson requires qualified judgment, regulatory compliance, and customer service aligned with its standards.
Key Responsibilities: Transcribe medication therapy orders and changes accurately
Prepare, package, compound, and verify medications
Process prescriptions, refills, transfers,



and third-party billing
Document medication distribution processes, errors, and missing medications
Support inventory, appointments, shipping, and patient accounts
Requirements: Pharmacy Technician Diploma
Valid license in good standing with the College of Pharmacists
At least one year pharmaceutical or retail pharmacy experience
Working knowledge of Kroll, Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
Understanding of biologics, specialty medications, and retail pharmacy practice
Bring licensed pharmacy expertise, medication preparation, billing knowledge, and clinical support skills to McKesson’s Pharmacy Department.
