Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Providers to support individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role involves providing personalized care in retirement living settings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and experience working with seniors. As a Care Provider, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve by offering respectful, attentive, and professional care.

Responsibilities

- Provide hands-on assistance with daily personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Administer prescribed medications in accordance with established care plans, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility while promoting resident comfort and independence.
- Encourage participation in recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that support overall well-being.




- Help maintain a tidy, sanitary, and secure living environment through routine housekeeping duties.
- Observe residents for changes in physical or emotional condition and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate healthcare team.
- Build positive relationships by offering companionship, encouragement, and emotional support.
- Adhere to all organizational policies, infection prevention and control (IPAC) practices, and workplace safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous experience in long-term care, retirement living, home care, or a similar caregiving setting is considered an asset.
- Understanding of senior care practices, including experience supporting individuals living with dementia.
- Competence in safe medication administration and accurate documentation.
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to complete light housekeeping duties while following IPAC and sanitation requirements.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team.
- Adaptable and responsive to changing resident needs in a dynamic care environment.
- Relevant caregiving certification or healthcare training is beneficial, though not mandatory.

This role offers the opportunity to positively impact the lives of residents while gaining valuable experience in personal care and the healthcare field. Pay: From $20.90 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15.0 per week
