The position encompasses all reception needs in a veterinary clinic (telephone calls, booking appointments/scheduling), as well as admitting patients, client education, ongoing counselling with clients/check ins, patient history taking, sales, cleaning and organizing the office, stocking. The successful candidate will be in charge of the behaviour service bookings, check ins and discharges.

The position requires excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills.

Experience is sales, service, computers is necessary. Past veterinary clinic reception experience is ideal.

as well as a referral veterinary behavioural (pyschiatry) evaluation and consultation. Our patients vary, include exotics and a 'fear free' approach to patient handling.

Our patients often are special needs 'anxious' pets. Empathy, a desire to learn, flexibility in new methods for training is necessary . Oppurtunity for further training in behaviour is available to the right candidate.

This current position requires an ability to work on one's own, with multi-tasking to other roles of patient handling and vet assistant duties.

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
