Overview

We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Helper to support daily warehouse distribution operations. This hands-on role assists with moving, organizing, picking, and preparing materials for shipment while helping maintain a safe, orderly work setting. The position may involve operating warehouse equipment, depending on training and authorization.

Duties

- Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials, products, and equipment.
- Assist with shipping & receiving, including sorting, staging, and organizing orders.
- Pick and prepare items for orders using order-picking procedures and an order picker when trained and authorized.
- Move materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment, such as a forklift, clamp truck, or crane, when qualified and authorized.
- Support inventory organization and record updates using a warehouse management system.
- Help inspect materials and equipment, identify issues, and report damage or discrepancies.
- Use basic mechanical knowledge to assist with routine equipment checks and simple troubleshooting.
- Perform heavy lifting and other physical tasks while following safe handling practices.
- Keep work areas, storage locations, and equipment clean and organized.
- Follow warehouse safety procedures and instructions when operating or working near heavy equipment.
- Cross-department help: wherever the manager needs support, you will readily take responsibility

Requirements

- Warehouse experience or experience in warehouse distribution is preferred.
- Experience with shipping & receiving, order picking, and load & unload tasks is an asset.
- Familiarity with a warehouse management system is helpful.
- Mechanical knowledge and experience operating heavy equipment are desirable.
- Experience using an order picker, forklift, crane,



or clamp truck is preferred; equipment must only be operated with appropriate training and authorization.
- Construction experience or experience handling materials in a physically demanding setting is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and remain active throughout the workday.

Depending on your training and authorization, you may also be responsible for operating various warehouse equipment.

- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including sorting, staging, and organizing orders.
- Pick and prepare items for orders using established procedures and specialized equipment, when trained and authorized.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate machinery, such as a forklift, clamp truck, or crane, once qualified and authorized.
- Support inventory organization and maintain accurate records using our warehouse management system.
- Inspect materials and equipment to identify issues,



report damages, and ensure all items meet quality standards.
- Apply basic mechanical knowledge to assist with routine equipment checks and simple troubleshooting.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, while adhering strictly to safe handling practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, storage location, and equipment fleet.
- Follow all warehouse safety protocols and instructions when operating or working near heavy machinery.
- Provide cross-departmental support as needed, showing readiness to take on additional responsibilities at the direction of management.
- Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with shipping, receiving, order picking, and loading/unloading is a significant asset.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is helpful.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience operating heavy equipment are highly desirable.
- Prior experience operating an order picker, forklift, crane, or clamp truck is preferred; please note that all equipment operation requires appropriate company-provided training and authorization.
- Construction or material-handling experience in a physically demanding setting is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and remain active throughout the duration of the workday.

Pay: $17.95-$18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 42.0 per week
