**We are hiring Order Picker's in Vaughan, Ontario on DAY SHIFT!**

**Job Description**

The Order Picker plays a key role in a high-volume distribution facility, starting with standard operating procedures and health and safety training before moving into hands-on warehouse activities.

In this role, you handle carts and totes, perform light to moderate repetitive lifting, sort and clear bins from trucks, manage returned products and waste, and operate compactors.

Once you learn the initial processes, you transition to order picking using iPads and RF scanners to accurately prepare customer orders in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

**Responsibilities**

+ Complete standard operating procedures (SOP) and health and safety training during initial onboarding.
+ Move carts and totes in the designated area and support general material handling tasks.
+ Perform repetitive lifting of items up to approximately 15 lbs while clearing bins from incoming trucks.
+ Inspect bins for returned products and garbage, and sort items appropriately.
+ Dispose of waste materials correctly by placing garbage into compactors in accordance with safety guidelines.
+ Progress to order picking activities using iPads and RF scanners after the initial training period.
+ Accurately pick and organize orders in the warehouse to meet distribution and shipping timelines.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area within a large, fast-paced distribution facility.
+ Follow all health and safety protocols, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
+ Work effectively as part of a diverse team to meet daily productivity and quality targets.
+ Adhere to scheduled shift times, breaks, and facility policies throughout each workday.

**Essential Skills**

+ Experience in order picking or general warehouse operations.
+ Ability to perform general labor tasks, including repetitive lifting up to approximately 15 lbs and handling items up to 50 lbs as needed.
+ Proficiency using RF scanners for inventory and order picking.
+ Comfort using iPads or similar handheld devices to manage and process orders.
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, large distribution environment.
+ Basic English communication skills to follow instructions and safety procedures.
+ Commitment to following health and safety standards and procedures.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Previous warehouse experience in a distribution or logistics setting.
+ Healthcare-related warehouse or distribution experience is an asset.
+ Willingness to learn new systems and processes for order picking and material handling.
+ Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and participate in performance and progression discussions.

The standard day shift runs from 9:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Employees receive one 30-minute unpaid lunch and one paid 15-minute break, with the schedule structured so staff finish 15 minutes earlier instead of taking a second paid break.

Steel-toed shoes are required, and safety vests are provided and must be worn while on the floor.

Technologies used include RF scanners and iPads for order picking, along with compactors for waste management, creating a modern and organized warehouse environment.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vaughan, ON.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.60/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
