**Job Title: Assembler** **Job Description**
Join a dynamic team as an Assembler responsible for crafting industrial-sized custom crates and corrugated boxes.

You will be involved in repetitive assembly processes, building components such as bases, lids, ends, and shelves using nail guns and installing hinges with impact drivers and screws.

You'll complete the crate walls and occasionally assist with cutting lumber to size using table saws.

Comfort with using a tape measure is essential.

**Responsibilities**

+ Assemble 10-foot long, 4-foot wide and deep crates for special projects.
+ Build components including bases, lids, ends, and shelves using nail guns.
+ Install hinges with impact drivers and screws.
+ Complete crate walls to specification.
+ Assist in cutting lumber to size using table saws.

**Essential Skills**

+ Proficiency with hand and power tools, including nail guns, drills, and saws.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Experience in manufacturing or construction environments.
+ Competence in working with measurements and measuring tapes.
+ Understanding of blueprints, carpentry, and woodwork.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Experience working with wood in basic carpentry, construction, or crating.
+ Ability to interpret blueprints.

**Work Environment**
Work in a bright, clean manufacturing shop in a non-unionized setting.

The facility hosts a team of 18 assemblers alongside engineering and sales departments.

Experience a laid-back work environment with a focus on teamwork.

Engage in company activities such as BBQs and events.

The work schedule includes day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and afternoon shifts from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday to Thursday.

Availability for overtime on occasional Saturdays is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mississauga, ON.

**Pay and Benefits**




The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.75/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
