**Aircraft Structures Technician**

**Job Description**

We are looking for an experienced **Aircraft Structures Technician** to perform heavy structural maintenance, repairs, and line maintenance on **Q400 and other regional aircraft** .

This is a hands-on role working with a small maintenance team in a fast-paced airport environment.

**Responsibilities**

+ Perform structural repairs and heavy maintenance on aircraft.
+ Complete sheet metal and airframe repairs.
+ Perform line maintenance and line checks.
+ Repair and replace aircraft structural components.
+ Read and follow technical documents and work orders.
+ Move between aircraft as maintenance needs change.
+ Work closely with mechanics, employees, and contractors.
+ Document completed maintenance using digital systems.
+ Follow all aviation, airport, and workplace safety requirements.

**Requirements**

+ 5+ years of heavy aircraft maintenance experience.
+ Experience on Q400, Dash Classic, or similar regional aircraft.
+ Strong aircraft structures and sheet metal experience.
+ Experience performing structural repairs and line maintenance.
+ Regional aircraft type endorsement.
+ AME or A&P; background.
+ Comfortable working in a rapid-paced maintenance environment.
+ Able to use maintenance software and digital documentation.
+ Must be able to obtain required airport security/access clearance.
+ Must have basic personal hand tools such as wrenches, ratchets, and screwdrivers.

**Nice to Have**

+ AME licence.
+ Q400 or Dash Classic experience.
+ Additional regional aircraft endorsements.
+ Heavy structures experience in hangar and airside environments.
+ RAIC or ability to obtain airport security clearance.
+ Aeronautical Radio Licence.
+ Experience working with Canadian and U.S. airline operations.

**Work Environment**

+ Location: Calgary, AB
+ Work primarily on airport grounds and airside.
+ Small team of approximately 56 mechanics.
+ Work may be performed outdoors or inside the hangar.
+ Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM.
+ Additional hours may be available.
+ Day or night shifts may be available depending on experience.
+ Steel-toe footwear and work pants required.
+ Specialized and calibrated aircraft tools are provided on site.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Calgary, AB.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
