**Job Title: Production Cleaner**

**Job Description**

The Production Cleaner maintains a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation for food manufacturing equipment and facility areas in a milling and grain environment.

This role focuses on preparing a new production site for operation by performing thorough industrial sanitation tasks, both indoors and outdoors, to support safe and efficient food production.

**Responsibilities**

+ Clean and sanitize food manufacturing equipment according to established sanitation procedures and safety guidelines.
+ Perform sweeping and mopping duties throughout production and facility areas to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
+ Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from equipment, surfaces, and hard-to-reach areas.
+ Carry out general labor tasks related to production cleaning, including moving equipment or materials as needed to access cleaning areas.
+ Follow industrial sanitation practices to ensure surfaces and equipment meet food safety standards.
+ Support pre-opening preparation of the milling and grain facility by performing detailed cleaning and sanitation of existing structures and equipment.
+ Work safely in dusty conditions and outdoor areas, using appropriate protective equipment and following site safety rules.
+ Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to hygiene, cleanliness, and safe operation of cleaning tools and equipment.
+ Communicate any issues or concerns related to cleanliness, equipment condition, or safety to the appropriate supervisor.
+ Collaborate with other cleaners and production staff to complete cleaning tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes.

**Essential Skills**

+ Proven experience in cleaning and general labor within a production or industrial environment.
+ Hands-on cleaning and sanitation experience, preferably in food production settings.
+ Industrial sanitation experience, including working with food manufacturing equipment and facility surfaces.
+ Ability to perform physical tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and using compressed air tools for extended periods.
+ Comfort working in dusty environments and outdoors while maintaining safety and productivity.
+ Reliability in following cleaning schedules, procedures, and safety protocols.

**Work Environment**

The role is based in a new milling and grain facility that will be operational in approximately 34 months, with current work focused on cleaning and sanitation of the existing site.

The environment can be dusty,



and some tasks are performed outdoors, requiring comfort with variable conditions.

Work is scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., providing a reliable afternoon and evening shift.

Cleaners work around food manufacturing equipment and use tools such as mops, sweeping equipment, and compressed air, following all safety and sanitation guidelines.

This is a Contract position based out of Brantford, ON.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
