Analog and digital design
Embedded microcontroller design (ARM-based microcontrollers or DSP-based systems)
Experience with peripherals such as SPI, I2 C, UART, etc.
Experience with DSP applications
Or CAD Capture, Or CAD PSpice Designer and PCB Designer
Competent Assembly and C language programming for embedded systems
FPGA design using VHDL
Network communication - Fiber Optic Ethernet ATM SONET
Experience with embedded development tools such as Sourcery Code Bench and Atollic True STUDIO
A team-oriented individual that works collaboratively to achieve team goals
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude, with capability to mentor others
Must be self-motivated, adaptable, and attentive to details
Willing to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a deadline-oriented workplace
Familiar with formal project design process and documentation
Willingness to travel within Canada, US and Overseas
Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and 4+ years of experience within a relevant complex engineering environment. May be required to maintain security clearance
