New one-year Business/Climate Analyst contract open now in downtown CalgaryAgilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Climate Analyst in the oil and gas sector in Calgary, Alberta. Our client is seeking a Climate/Business Analyst to support sustainability, climate strategy, and data governance initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills who enjoys transforming complex data into meaningful business insights.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze and visualize sustainability and operational data using Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Support KPI tracking, performance dashboards, and business reporting initiatives.
- Conduct research and benchmarking on ESG, climate, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data governance, reporting, and disclosure activities.
- Prepare presentations and reporting materials for leadership and key stakeholders.

Requirements:

- 1+ years of experience in Business Analysis for climate and sustainability initiatives.




- Strong Power BI and data visualization skills, storytelling through presentations, stakeholder engagement.
- Proven experience creating dashboards from scratch.
- Experience with data governance, reporting, and business intelligence.
- Exposure to ESG, sustainability, climate reporting.
- Energy, engineering, or finance industry experience.

Soft skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and draw meaningful insights from data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise messages for different audiences.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
