Lead IFRS financial reporting at Gibson Energy’s Calgary Head Office, using consolidation expertise and technical accounting judgment in a full time permanent role.

The Senior Accountant supports external and internal reporting across Finance, FP&A;, Tax, and Operations. You will prepare quarterly and annual consolidated statements, MD&A;, disclosures, and Audit Committee materials. The hands-on scope includes complex IFRS research, Workiva reporting, and external auditor coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and supporting reconciliations
- Research complex IFRS issues and prepare technical memoranda
- Build Workiva documents, linked schedules, and validation checks




- Coordinate external auditor requests through resolution
- Lead assigned month-end and quarter-end close activities

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation and 5-8+ years progressive accounting experience
- Financial reporting experience in a publicly traded environment
- Robust IFRS expertise, analytical ability, and professional judgment
- Advanced Excel and ERP systems experience
