Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer tojoin our mechanical engineering team in Thunder Bay, Ontario. This role offersthe chance to lead engineering projects, develop innovative mechanicalsolutions, and contribute to a variety of industrial and infrastructureprojects across Canada.

The successful candidate will bring strong technicalexpertise, project leadership capabilities, and a commitment to deliveringsafe, reliable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Leadingmechanical engineering projects of varying sizes and levels of complexity,ensuring designs meet applicable safety requirements, industry codes, andtechnical standards.

- Developingmechanical design solutions for mining operations, industrial processes,and facility upgrades.

- Contributingto plant layout development, process optimization, equipment selection,and mechanical system integration.

- Designingand evaluating fluid and slurry pumping systems, piping networks, materialhandling systems, dust collection equipment, HVAC systems,



and fuelstorage installations.

- Supportingprojects through all stages, including initial assessments, proposalpreparation, feasibility studies, detailed engineering design,construction support, commissioning, and field engineering.

- Collaboratingwith multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and other stakeholdersto achieve project objectives.

- Preparing,reviewing, and updating Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping andInstrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;).

- Providingtechnical guidance and ensuring engineering deliverables meet projectspecifications, quality expectations, and regulatory requirements.

- Participatingin client relationship development, proposal development, and otherbusiness development activities.

- Identifyingopportunities to improve engineering processes, project efficiency,equipment performance, and overall system reliability.

The ideal candidate is a technically proficient mechanicalengineering professional with demonstrated experience in industrial ormining-related projects. They possess strong problem-solving and communicationskills, can manage competing project priorities, and are comfortable takingownership of mechanical engineering deliverables from planning throughimplementation.
