Build Ruby and GraphQL backend capabilities remotely for GitLab’s Create: Source Code team, supporting reliable source code workflows across products.

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll develop secure, tested, performant features for complex source code systems. You’ll design services, application programming interfaces, data models, and business logic while collaborating across product, engineering, testing, security, and user experience teams. Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

- Professional backend web application, service, or interface experience
- Experience with Ruby and GraphQL
- Understanding of relational databases, SQL, caching, and performance
- Backend unit and integration testing experience
- Transparent English communication in remote, asynchronous environments
