Hudbay Minerals seeks one qualified Core Logging Geologist for its Lalor Mine Geology team. This term position runs from January through December, supporting mining plan execution through geological services, diamond drill core logging, and sampling. The role requires communication with drilling contractor supervision and the geology department.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide core logging services supporting Lalor Mine operations
- Log and sample diamond drill core
- Collect data for ore interpretation and resource calculations
- Liaise with diamond drilling contractor supervision
- Communicate ore interpretation changes to geology

Requirements:

- Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences or Geological Engineering
- Geologist in Training or Engineer in Training designation
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Sheets
- Ability to lift up to 34 kilograms to waist
- MineSight, Deswik, Leapfrog, or AcQuire familiarity is an asset
