Deliver reference expertise across disciplines at UFV, supporting students and faculty face-to-face and through AskAway chat. Teach library instruction classes across subjects.
The Librarian provides scheduled and on-call reference and instructional services across UFV campuses and online. You will work with classroom faculty, use electronic databases and search engines, and support library users. Other projects may be assigned according to time and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide reference service across all disciplines
- Assist students and faculty through AskAway chat
- Teach library instruction classes with classroom faculty
- Support services across UFV campuses and online
- Complete other assigned projects as expertise permits
Requirements:
- Master of Library and Information Studies from an ALA-accredited school
- Experience delivering reference and instructional services
- Thorough knowledge of library resources and electronic databases
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Versatile schedule, own transportation, and group presentation experience
