Lead people operations for Brilliant Harvest as a Human Resources Generalist, combining recruitment and payroll expertise in a remote-first role.

Reporting to the Finance & Operations Manager, this broad hands-on position builds and runs the HR function. You will support hiring, onboarding, performance, employee relations, payroll, benefits, compliance, and culture. The role is based in Western Canada, ideally Calgary, with in-person Calgary work every two months for a few days.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own full-cycle recruitment and manage multiple vacancies
- Develop recruitment strategies, postings, sourcing, screening, and reference checks
- Deliver onboarding and manage the full talent lifecycle
- Process bi-weekly payroll, bonuses, deductions, and tax reports




- Administer advantages, WCB, safety, privacy, and HR systems

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field
- Five-plus years of progressive HR experience
- Full-cycle recruitment and payroll administration experience
- Knowledge of Alberta employment, OHS, WCB, human rights, and privacy legislation
- Strong communication, organization, judgment, and discretion
