Position Summary

The Senior Business Intelligence Specialist plays a critical role in transforming data into actionable business insights that support strategic decision-making across SSRU and Ryan Specialty Canada. This role serves as a key partner to business leaders, leveraging data analytics, reporting, and visualization tools to identify trends, measure performance, and drive operational excellence. Working closely with stakeholders across underwriting, operations, finance, claims, and executive leadership, the Senior Business Intelligence Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining reporting solutions, dashboards, and analytical models that deliver meaningful business intelligence. The role will help shape data strategy, ensure data quality and governance, and support the organization's growing analytical capabilities through cutting-edge reporting and automation solutions. The successful candidate is a highly analytical problem solver with strong business acumen, expertise in Power BI and data analytics, and a passion for delivering data-driven insights that improve business performance and support organizational growth. What will your job entail?

- Develop, maintain, and enhance business intelligence reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions.




- Partner with business leaders to understand reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Aggregate, transform, and analyze complex data from multiple systems and sources.
- Deliver actionable insights that support operational, financial, and strategic decision-making.
- Design and implement Power BI dashboards and visualizations that track key business metrics and performance indicators.
- Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and process improvement initiatives through data analysis.
- Support data governance efforts by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reporting data.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate new data sources and improve reporting capabilities.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Support strategic planning initiatives through forecasting, trend analysis, and performance reporting.

- Design, build, test, and maintain enterprise reporting solutions and dashboards.
