Salary: $56,096.00/yr - $70,120.00/yr

What qualifications are we looking for?

At YMCA Calgary we strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals. The successful candidate will have the following;

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or a related field.
- Previous experience leading or supervising staff is considered an asset.
- Class 5 Driver's License with a satisfactory Driver's Abstract.
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment including trucks, ATVs, and utility vehicles.
- HVAC operating and maintenance experience.
- General building maintenance knowledge and experience.
- Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry knowledge.
- Solid organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
- Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Three professional references.

Preferred Qualifications

- 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate (ABSA) or Journeyman ticket is an asset.
- Level One Wastewater and Water Treatment Plant Certification is an asset.
- Experience in camp,



recreation, hospitality, or multi‑building facility environments.
- Experience coordinating contractors and service providers.

What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and effective operation and maintenance of Camp Chief Hector YMCA and Camp Riveredge facilities. This position provides day‑to‑day leadership to facility staff, coordinates maintenance activities, and supports the Asset Management team in delivering maintenance and capital improvement initiatives.

Facility Operations & Maintenance

- Maintain Camp Chief Hector YMCA and Camp Riveredge facilities in accordance with the Public Health Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, applicable building regulations, and YMCA Calgary standards.
- Perform and coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems and equipment.
- Provide HVAC system maintenance and monitoring in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, environmental requirements, and YMCA standards.
- Perform or coordinate general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and facility repairs as required.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and identify deficiencies, safety concerns, and maintenance priorities.
- Ensure that all interior and exterior spaces are maintained in a safe, clean, and functional condition.
