Junior Engineer Position

Job Type: Full time

InGeo Design is a small engineering consulting company that specializes in excavation shoring and monitoring. We have been serving clients for over 13 years. We are looking for an engineer with 3 years of experience.

Tasks involved in this position will include, but not be limited to the following:
-Calculations for excavation shoring drawings

-Ensure drawings are up to standard

-Take inclinometer readings and report findings using Excel and Word

-Compile monitoring reports using Word and Excel
-Various tasks on construction sites such as tieback stressing and site visits
-Conduct pre-construction condition surveys photographs and write up reports
-Conduct Zone of Influence reports and readings

-Install vibration monitors, analyze data and report data in a way that it is easy for clients to understand

-Ensure vibration monitors are reading at all times

-Improve our calculations standards. This will require knowledge of structural and geotechnical engineering

-Ideal candidate is a Civil Engineering Student

-Has outstanding communication skills

-Be easy going individual willing to work on construction sites outside all year around

-Has to have access to a vehicle

-Be a team player in the office as well as in construction sites

-Self motivated and organized

-Has experience with Work, Excel and Outlook

We provide:

- Safety training prior to going on to construction sites

-All Personal Protective Equipment (including hat, steel toe boots, reflective vest, face masks, gloves, safety glasses.

-The work is outdoors and in office

- Payment for the mileage to go to the site.
