As a Closure Design Release Engineer, you will develop rear body closure sheet metal and associated hinging systems. The work covers liftgates, decklids, and tailgates while meeting safety, functional, and manufacturing standards. You will coordinate technical activities across engineering and vehicle program teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Engineer, design, develop, time, and release rear body closures
- Manage assigned component development and validation activities
- Communicate product status and competitor benchmarking to management
- Coordinate packaging with electrical, lighting, trim,



and electromechanical teams
- Maintain DVP&R; and DFMEA documentation

Requirements:

- Experience with rear body closure sheet metal systems
- Knowledge of liftgates, decklids, tailgates, or hinging systems
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional packaging requirements
- Understanding of CAE scorecards and manufacturing feasibility
- Ability to support supplier quality and Value Optimization activities
